The Tutoring Center offers three forms of Tutoring: Mentored Study Groups, Drop-In Tutoring, and Individual Tutoring Sessions. Below are the Fall 2018 offerings for all three modes of tutoring:
Mentored Study Groups:
Mentored Study Groups are led by a professional or peer tutor and are scheduled during times when most students enrolled in the course are not scheduled for class. A Mentored Study Group is a scheduled weekly study session that helps students master course content and develop effective learning strategies. Participation in a Mentored Study Group is a semester long commitment. Please note that the Mentored Study Groups will be the only academic support available for the courses listed below. In order to participate in a Mentored Study Group, a student must register through the Academic Success and Advising Center.
- There are currently no Mentored Study Groups running during the Fall 2018 semester
Drop-In Tutoring is operated on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary) and staffed by professional and peer tutors. Drop-In Tutoring provides students the opportunity to drop by the Tutoring Center and receive assistance with any questions they may have about a particular course. Please note that Drop-In Tutoring will be the only academic support available for the courses listed below. All Drop-In Tutoring is located in the Tutoring Center unless otherwise noted. Courses where drop-in tutoring is offered will not have any individual tutoring unless there is a specific course conflict in the student’s schedule.
