The Tutoring Center offers three forms of Tutoring: Mentored Study Groups, Drop-In Tutoring, and Individual Tutoring Sessions. Below are the Fall 2017 offerings for all three modes of tutoring:

The Tutoring Center offers three forms of Tutoring: Mentored Study Groups, Drop-In Tutoring, and Individual Tutoring Sessions. Below are the Fall 2017 offerings for all three modes of tutoring:

Mentored Study Groups:

Mentored Study Groups are led by a professional or peer tutor and are scheduled during times when most students enrolled in the course are not scheduled for class. A Mentored Study Group is a scheduled weekly study session that helps students master course content and develop effective learning strategies. Participation in a Mentored Study Group is a semester long commitment. Please note that the Mentored Study Groups will be the only academic support available for the courses listed below. In order to participate in a Mentored Study Group, a student must register through the Academic Success and Advising Center.

Drop-In Tutoring

Drop-In Tutoring is operated on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary) and staffed by professional and peer tutors. Drop-In Tutoring provides students the opportunity to drop by the Tutoring Center and receive assistance with any questions they may have about a particular course. Please note that Drop-In Tutoring will be the only academic support available for the courses listed below.

The Math Lab is a drop-in opportunity located in the Tutoring Center. The Math Lab provides drop-in tutoring for the following courses:

Individual Tutoring

Individual Tutoring will be offered for courses that are not supported by a Mentored Study Group or Drop-In Tutoring. Individual Tutoring consists of a half-hour, one-on-one session with a Professional or Peer Tutor. Students can sign up for tutoring in the Academic Success & Advising Center. If we cannot provide a tutor for assistance with a specific course, we will refer a student to NetTutor, our free online tutoring service (please see NetTutor page for additional information).
