Dr. Anderson’s scholarship investigates the construction, diffusion, and complex negotiation of girls’ education policy discourses through qualitative, discourse, and network approaches. She serves as Co-Chair of the Gender and Education Standing Committee of the Comparative and International Education Society (2017 – 2019). Dr. Anderson is a member of the New Scholar Board of Multicultural Education Review and was a founding Co-Editor of the Annual Review of Comparative and International Education.
Dr. Anderson publishes and presents her work domestically and internationally and consults on girls’ education policy and programmatic reform with nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations. Her recent work has appeared in Girlhood Studies, Computers & Education, with forthcoming chapters in the International Handbook of Teacher Quality and Policy and the International Perspectives on Education and Society series, among others.
