CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We are student-centered value of a holistic education through career advisement, education, preparation and development. Providing career focused resources, programs, experiential education and employment opportunities; Career Development and Community Engagement guides and empowers students for the world of service, work and graduate school.

Partnering with the community, employers, and alumni, Career Development and Community Engagement impacts and transforms the “student experience” from freshman through senior year and champions the transition from student to alumni.

SERVICES FOR STUDENTS
We are committed to assisting you with developing your professional experiences and goals, and providing information, programs and resources to help you plan your future. Our main objective is to help you find a career path that is aligned with your interests and academic experience. Our office collaborates with other administrative offices and faculty to ensure that your professional development is supported throughout your educational course as a student and alumni.

• College Central Network – online career management system allows students to create a professional profile for employers, upload a resume, search and apply for internships, jobs, participate in on campus recruiting and sign up for career advising appointments, workshops, programs and events.

• Individual career advisement to discuss creating an action plan, resumes and cover letters, interview preparation, networking tips, internships, graduate school and job search strategies.

• Professional development workshops cover topics including resumes and cover letters, networking, interviewing, professionalism, internships, LinkedIn, career fairs, negotiating offers and career information for international students.

• Programs such as ‘adulting 101’, etiquette dinners, and networking events.
• Career and internship fairs to meet recruiters, network and ask questions.
• On campus recruiting and interviewing includes information sessions hosted by employers.
• Social media lets you connect and receive career information via LinkedIn and Instagram.
