Centenary University has a student-friendly application process so that you can focus on the most important part of your college search — picking the school that is the best fit for you.

We offer both Early Action and Regular Decision processes for students applying for fall admission. In most cases, students receive and admissions decision within a week of Centenary receiving the application and other required documents.

Application Requirements

Students may complete either Centenary’s online application or the Common Application. In addition to your application, we will need:

  • Your official high school transcript.
  • Your official SAT or ACT scores. 
  • 250-word essay on “How Centenary Can Help You Achieve Your Educational Goals and Objectives” or an essay through the Common Application.
  • teacher or guidance counselor recommendation.
  • An application fee of $30 or official fee waiver issued by your high school. Both College Board and NACAC fee waivers are acceptable.

Admission Deadlines

Early Action

Students interested in receiving an early admission decision to Centenary University for the fall semester can choose to apply for “Early Action” by indicating so on either their Common Application or our online application. To receive an early admission decision, all required application documents must be received in the Office of Admissions by Nov. 1.

Early Action is a non-binding agreement. It gives you an early response to your application, but you do not have to commit to attending Centenary until you are ready.

Regular Decision

Regular Decision is available for students applying for the fall semester beginning Nov. 2. All applications are evaluated on a rolling basis once required documents have been received.  Students receive and admissions decision within a week of Centenary receiving the application and other required documents.

While most students apply in the fall or winter for the following fall semester, our rolling admissions process allows you to apply at any time prior to the beginning of the semester.
