Ying Wang is the Institutional Research Analyst at Centenary University. In this role, Ying establishes reporting for the various campus units, and works to foster a culture of data use and exploration.

Prior to her role as an IR Analyst, Ying worked 2 years as a Database Developer, responsible for customized reports and certificates, and supporting the front-ends and back-ends of the pharmaceutical industry’s websites. She also worked on data collection by building a web crawler and conducting predictive analytics.

Ying holds a Computer Science MS degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Food Science MS from Rutgers. She taught General Biology and General Microbiology for 2 years as a lab/workshop instructor at Rutgers. In the Institutional Research field, she is interested in providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of student learning, assisting in assessment of performance and evaluation, and developing predictions using machine learning tools that support decision making.
