CENTENARY UNIVERSITY’S BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL TEAMS HOST THE THIRD ANNUAL RESTAURANT “WORLD SERIES”
Hackettstown, N.J., December 20, 2016 – For the third consecutive year, Centenary University’s Baseball and Softball teams are hosting a Restaurant World Series Event at 4 p.m. on January 8, 2017. Attendees are invited to sample fare from the finest local restaurants at the University’s dining hall located in the David and Carol Lackland Center. The cost to attend this event is $40 at the door.
The coaches and players have collaborated to select the most popular local eateries that the Hackettstown community enjoys. Each restaurant will send their very own chefs and wait staff to represent their cuisine. Participating vendors include:

- Mama’s Restaurant & Cafe Baci
- Marley’s Gotham Grill
- Minebrook Country Club
- Philadelphia Pretzel Factory
- Piggy’s Deli
- Taphouse Grille
- Taste of Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria
- & more!
There will also be an opportunity to cast a vote to determine the best appetizer, the best entrée, the best dessert and the overall best restaurant. Guests are encouraged to bring their own additional refreshments. During the event, the teams will also host a basket raffle, as well as a 50/50.
“The Restaurant World Series is an event that really brings the Centenary University community and the local community closer together,” says Kim Broking, Head Softball Coach and Assistant Director of Athletics at Centenary University. “The good food supports our teams. In past years, this event has had a successful response. We are so excited to host it for the third time.”
