For over a decade Centenary Students have maintained an active program where once every month approximately 15 students sacrifice a Friday night to hand out clean clothing, freshly made food, and travel-sized toiletries to those in need.
Finding Common Ground Between the Housed and the Homeless!
During the week prior to each Midnight Run, volunteers meet to collect and organize . The majority of the work is done well in advance of the night we head into the city.
On the day of the run, you will find the students in the cafeteria making and packaging bagged meals, loading clothing and supplies into the vans and then pulling out of the parking lot around 8:30pm for the hour drive to our first stop. Just last year Centenary students donated more than 860 Hours of service to Midnight Run!
Suggestions for Donated Items:
We accept donations all year long. Donations can be left at the switchboard operator of the Seay Administration Building or in the closet to the left as you enter Ferry Hall. We don’t accept women’s or children’s clothing. All contributions are appreciated!
