Information for Saturday
Please be advised that the weather forecast for this coming Saturday calls for cool temperatures (50 degrees), winds 10-20 mph and rain (heavy at times). While the tent will provide overhead coverage/protection, there will be no side panels for the tent. Please be sure to dress accordingly and advise your guests to do so also. As a reminder the regalia may run, so please wear dark colors and wear sensible footwear. Efforts will be made to keep all graduating students dry.
The procession begins precisely at 1:00PM, marching out of the front doors. The procession will be led by Dr. Harriett Gaddy, who carries the mace, followed by the bagpiper and then the Colonial Musketeers. The rest of the procession will be self-evident. The graduates will be held back at the entrance to the aisle leading up to the stage until the stage party is in their places and the faculty are in their rows. At that point the sound crew will begin Pomp and Circumstance for the graduates to march in. Depending on how heavy it is raining at that time, we may shorten the route of procession. Please follow the directions provided at that time.
Ponchos will be provided to students, staff and faculty. Should you choose to bring an umbrella, please be mindful of others.
Live Commencement Ceremony streaming will be available. Go to the Vibe’s YouTube channel by navigating to the link https://www.youtube.com/c/TheVibeatCentenaryCollegeHackettstown/live
