Advancing your career through a personal brand.

What image do you portray to employers? How does your personal brand affect career success? Those are two of the questions that were explored in a free workshop yesterday, sponsored by the Centenary University School of Professional Studies (SPS). The event began at 5 p.m. at the SPS campus in Edison, N.J.

The workshop was presented by Tim Guella, adjunct professor of business at Centenary University and director of social media for #theVIBE, Centenary’s Social Media Center of Expertise. The session explored strengthening your personal brand and advancing your career through academic opportunities, such as a certificate, associate, undergraduate, or master’s degree available through SPS.

The Centenary University School of Professional Studies Edison campus is located at Metroview Center, 333 Thornall St., Edison, N.J., just steps away from the Metropark train station. SPS offers a wide range of certificate programs and academic degrees at its main campus, 7 Campus Drive, Parsippany, N.J., as well as its Edison campus.

ABOUT TIM GUELLA
Tim Guella is the director of social media for Centenary University’s Social Media Center of Expertise, #theVIBE. Within this role, he oversees #theVIBE’s two modern technology centers in Hackettstown, N.J., and Parsippany, N.J. Guella’s experience building online brands for companies large and small helped to shape #theVIBE into a cutting-edge program. He holds a M.B.A. and a B.A. in history from Centenary University.
