The Tutoring Program at Centenary University has been certified since 2002. It is currently certified at levels 1, 2, and 3. This certification requires that we provide our tutors with opportunities to learn the best practices in learning support and allows to certify our tutors.
Tutors Applying for Level 1 and Level 2 Certification:
The first 4 hours of Level 1 and Level 2 training are online modules. If you are pursuing Level 1 Certification, you will complete Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 10. If you are pursuing Level 2 Certification, you will complete Modules 7, 8, 9, & 10. Throughout certain modules, you will see words bolded in red that indicate there are supplemental readings in the module for you to read. At the end of each module, please complete the required assignment which you will then print and hand in as part of your CRLA Certification.
All certification materials should be submitted to Abbie Davis in the Academic Success and Advising Center (Abigail.Davis@centenaryuniversity.edu) by August 1st.
