Biography

Dr. Nicholas Diaz currently serves as the Shared Superintendent of Schools for Franklin Township and Union Township School Districts in Hunterdon County, NJ. Starting his career as an elementary school teacher, he quickly moved up the ranks to become a vice-principal, principal, and now as a superintendent. He received his doctorate from Centenary University, and his dissertation research focused on teacher retention. His dedication and leadership in education were recognized in 2017 when he was named a “Superintendent to Watch” by the National School Public Relations Association and in 2021 when he was honored as the “Educational Leader of the Year” by Centenary University and Visions FCU. Under his leadership, the district has seen significant academic and operational successes. He is a passionate advocate for students and committed to ensuring all students have access to a high-quality education.
