Please note that a GPA of 2.8 or above is preferred for admission to the BSW Program. Provisional acceptance will be considered for students with a GPA at or above 2.5 who demonstrate significant strengths in other areas of evaluation. (A student accepted into the BSW Program on a provisional basis will be required to meet with their advisor on a regular basis during the first semester to develop and monitor a plan for success.)
Centenary students may apply to the BSW Program during the spring semester of their sophomore year. Transfer students entering their junior year may apply to the BSW Program concurrently with their application to the university. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a completed application before the end of the spring semester, although applications received during the summer months will also be considered.
A completed application form, as well as two completed reference forms (preferably one academic and one work-related) should be submitted. Once an application is submitted, the BSW Program Director and/or Field Director will review the applicant’s transcripts, including those submitted to the university’s transfer admissions office. If you have any questions about the BSW Program or the application process, please don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Klemm by email or phone at (908) 852-1400 x2346. Virtual appointments are available on request.
