Piscataway, NJ — On April 17, 2026, Centenary University proudly celebrated the remarkable achievements of its Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) scholars, who were honored as part of a statewide recognition ceremony hosted by the New Jersey Department of Education. The event brought together more than 1,900 EOP students from colleges and universities across the state at Jersey Mike’s Arena at Rutgers University in Piscataway serving as a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and academic excellence.
Among those recognized, Centenary University honored 20 outstanding EOP scholars, with 12 students in attendance to represent the university community. These students were recognized across three distinguished categories: the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, the Academic Achievement Award, and the Graduating Scholar Award. Their accomplishments reflect not only academic excellence but also perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth.
Students received certificates and stoles.
