Centenary University has space in its eight residence halls for over 700 students. Our residence halls range from a 48 to a 130-bed capacity.

In accordance with New Jersey state law, all residence halls are designated as smoke-free buildings. All residence rooms have installed sprinklers.

Each hall has its own unique features — from traditional double student rooms with community bathrooms, to single rooms in traditional halls, to apartment-style living with single bedrooms.

  • Chest of drawers

No linens are provided. Residents need to bring sheets, pillows, bedspreads, blankets, towels, and toiletries.

All room dimensions provided here are rounded to the nearest half-inch. Some window or floor areas may be slightly smaller or larger. We encourage residents to measure before they decorate!

Anderson Hall

Coed by room with community bathrooms located on each floor. These rooms do not come with an air conditioning unit.  There are two lounges in Ando Hall with a pool table and foosball.  Sussex County Community College residential students will be a part of this community.

Bennett-Smith Hall

An apartment-style upper-class student facility. Each apartment contains a kitchen and living room, four single bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. There is an additional fee for living in this hall.

Founders Hall

An apartment-style upper-class student facility. Each apartment contains a kitchen and living room, four single bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. There is an additional fee for living in this hall.

Lotte Hall

Designated for our transfer and returning students. Lotte is coed by room with a community kitchen on the ground floor. This coeducational hall provides housing for 48 students. These rooms do not come with an air conditioning unit.  This community will also have Sussex County Community College residential students within the community.

Reeves Hall

Coed hall provides housing for approximately 130 students.  The building is co-ed by room.  Reeves hall is a dry hall reserved for new students to the university. These rooms do not come with an air conditioning unit.  The bathrooms pods in Reeves Hall are in the community but are single-use only.

Smith Hall

Coeducational hall by room, it is a mirror of Reeves Hall and hosts our First-year students. Students residing in Smith Hall follow all the same regulations of Reeves Hall. A large quiet area is available for daytime study. These rooms do not come with an air conditioning unit.  The bathroom pods in Smith Hall are in the community but are single-use only. This community will also have Sussex County Community College residential students within the community

Van Winkle Hall

Van Winkle is currently a co-ed hall that was recently renovated and has new carpet and flooring in the hallways and rooms. Communal bathrooms on each floor are shared among residents of the floor. These rooms do not come with an air conditioning unit. This community will also have Sussex County Community College residential students within the community.

Washabaugh Hall

A coeducational hall. The halls are co-ed by floor. This hall has walk-in closets and built-in desks. A unique atrium provides a centrally located garden in this residence hall. These rooms do not come with an air conditioning unit.
