Today’s successful businesses focus on three key ingredients—people, profits, and planet. Together, they’re known as the triple bottom line. Savvy business leaders know that sustainable practices seamlessly blend the social, economic, and environmental elements that help businesses run more profitably and responsibly.

The Centenary University Department of Business recently introduced a new program in sustainable practices, focusing on the business and ethical mandates of sustainable workplace practices. Students can choose to study business with a concentration in sustainable practices, or go on to earn a minor in this growing field. A certificate for working professionals is also available.

Make a Positive Impact

As a specialist in sustainable practices, you can make an important impact on our planet by guiding companies toward ethical policies. The knowledge you gain through your studies at Centenary will provide the input for corporate decisions that:

  • Reduce energy
  • Encourage recycling
  • Eliminate waste
  • Conserve resources
  • Prevent pollution
  • Support green buildings
  • Promote human rights

It’s a Global Issue

Business leaders understand that sustainable practices have far-reaching effects—across our country and around the world. As a Centenary student, you’ll study how local decisions make a global impact on businesses and the customers they serve. Take part in internships, study abroad, or participate in service trips and travel courses that immerse you in other cultures. These experiences will heighten your awareness of how sustainability contributes to a better world.
