CENTENARY UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR PUBLISHES PAPER ON TEACHINGS OF FRED ROGERS AND HIS RELEVANCE IN THE MODERN CLASSROOM

“Fred Rogers was a scholar and child development expert who was mentored by some of the greats: Dr. Erik Erikson, Dr. Margaret McFarland, and influential pediatrician Dr. Benjamin Spock,” McCoy said. “He transferred the research and theory he learned and put it into practice in the television program he produced each week called Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. His work exemplifies praxis—that bridge that connects research and practice.”
Centenary University’s School of Education and Humanities has fostered relationships with their PreK–12 partners.
