HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, Nov. 2, 2026 – Centenary University earned the 2026 Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention™, a prestigious recognition awarded to institutions demonstrating exceptional commitment to evidence-based student success and well-being programming.
Presented by Vector Solutions, the CPN Seal recognizes institutions and organizations that have achieved measurable excellence in creating campus environments where students thrive. Only 12% of institutions and organizations nationwide earn this distinction.
The seal validates Centenary University’s strategic investment in research-backed programming addressing sexual assault and relationship violence prevention, mental health support, substance use education, and community building. These efforts directly correlate with measurable outcomes: Seal recipients report 8.5% higher first-year retention rates and 9.3% higher on-time graduation rates.
“Supporting student well-being is an important part of our mission and our responsibility as an institution,” said Kerry Mullins, Vice President of Student Affairs, Centenary University. “Through prevention and well-being programming, we give students the knowledge, resources, and support they need to navigate challenges, make healthy decisions, and stay focused on their goals. When students feel supported and connected to their campus community, they are better positioned to succeed academically, grow personally, and make the most of their college experience.”
The CPN Seal is based on the Principles of Effective Prevention Programs (Nation et al., 2003) and requires institutions to demonstrate:
• Evidence-based program design with measurable outcomes
• Cultural relevance and appropriate timing of interventions
• Sufficient reach and dosage across the student lifecycle
• Well-trained facilitators and positive relationships
• Rigorous evaluation and continuous improvement
“Seal recipients represent the institutions leading higher education innovation in student success,” said Gil Schwartz, General Manager of Education, Vector Solutions. “Their commitment to evidence-based, measurable approaches to prevention and well-being strengthens their communities and drives institutional performance.”
The 2026 CPN Seal of Prevention cohort includes more than 540 institutions across the country, collectively serving millions of students. Together, these institutions demonstrate that strategic investment in student well-being and success is both a moral imperative and a competitive advantage.
Centenary University continues its legacy as part of a network of leading colleges committed to creating safer, stronger, higher-performing campuses.
