The BS in Accounting prepares students for positions in accounting and business and provides the required accounting courses necessary to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
(150 credits are required for CPA licensure )
The BS in Business Administration: Accounting Concentration prepares a student for jobs requiring some accounting knowledge beyond fundamental accounting
(16 credits of upper-level accounting courses are required).
The 150-credit dual major with a BS in Accounting and BS in Business Administration: Finance Concentration prepares students to sit for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA Exam) upon graduation in just four years, saving time and money. These degrees meet the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) requirements for 150 completed credits to take the CPA Exam (24 credits of upper-level accounting courses and 16 credits of upper-level finance courses are required).
We have designed our curriculum to prepare you to sit for the CPA exam in New Jersey. Introductory courses focus on basic accounting principles. Advanced courses cover topics such as cost accounting, tax accounting, governmental accounting, and auditing.
