Centenary University Takes First Place in New Jersey College & University Flu Challenge

Healthy Campus—Centenary University took first place in the eighth annual New Jersey College & University Flu Challenge in the small college division for the 2024-2025 academic year. Sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Health’s Vaccine Preventable Disease Program, the challenge aims to increase awareness of the importance of flu vaccinations for students attending institutions of higher education. Winners were determined based on the highest percentage of students self-reporting that they had received the flu vaccine for the current flu season. At the trophy presentation to Centenary were, from left, Kerry Mullins, vice president for campus life and dean of students; Theresa A. Lord-Stout, RN, MSN, APN-C, executive director of wellness and nurse practitioner at Centenary; Cynthia Perillo, RN, of the Centenary University Health Office; Elisa Rossetti, MPH, CHES, program support specialist with the New Jersey Department of Health; and Centenary University President Dale Caldwell, Ed.D.
