HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, Oct. 6, 2026 – Centenary University welcomes Robert Anthony to campus to share his “Anything Is Possible message” at the Reeves Gymnasium on Tuesday, October 13, at 5 PM, in Hackettstown, New Jersey. This free event is open to students, staff and faculty, and the public.

Anthony is a motivational speaker, actor, model, founder of Limb Possible, and three-sport USA athlete who has represented the United States in amputee soccer, paratriathlon, and volleyball. Born with fibular hemimelia, Robert became a below-knee amputee at just 10 months old.

Anthony’s journey was featured in the Emmy-nominated documentary Able, and he has appeared on American Ninja Warrior, Ink Master, and Returning the Favor with Mike Rowe. Anthony has shared his message with more than 100,000 students and has spoken for organizations including Nike, CNBC, Microsoft, and the U.S. Department of Housing.

“I want people to see me as someone who inspires them to do better, to be better, despite the circumstances,” Anthony said.

“Having the opportunity to bring Robert Anthony to Centenary is incredibly meaningful because his message represents what we want our students to understand about themselves and their potential,” said Dan Armida, Director of Athletics, Centenary University. Armida had the privilege of getting to know Anthony through their work with Team USA, and what stood out most to Armida was more than everything Anthony accomplished; it was the mindset, perspective, and purpose behind those accomplishments.

Through his “Anything Is Possible” message, Anthony inspires audiences to overcome adversity, recognize their potential, and move beyond what they once believed was possible. Anthony’s organization, Limb Possible, helps embody the triumph of the human spirit over physical limitations.

“Anthony’s message aligns perfectly with our whole-student and whole-athlete philosophy at Centenary,” Armida said. “We want to prepare our students not just to succeed in competition or in the classroom, but also to develop the confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and sense of purpose that will serve them throughout their lives. I believe our students will walk away from their time with Rob thinking differently about adversity, possibility and, most importantly, what they believe is possible for themselves.”
