CENTENARY UNIVERSITY INVITES PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES TO FALL OPEN HOUSE ON OCTOBER 10

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, SEP. 17, 2026—Centenary University will welcome prospective students and their families to its Fall Open House on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Attendees will explore academic programs, connect with faculty and current students, and learn more about Centenary’s commitment to personal attention and career-building preparation for the future.
Built around the University’s message, “Seen for who you are. Ready for who you will become,” the Open House will introduce visitors to the people, programs, and experiences that help Centenary students develop the confidence, direction, and career-ready skills to move forward with purpose.
Prospective students will explore their interests during an Academic Brunch and Department Meet-and-Greet, connect with faculty, and participate in interactive academic experiences. Current students and alumni will share their perspectives on life at Centenary University and the paths they are pursuing.
“Choosing a university is about finding a place where you feel supported and can see a future for yourself,” said Kathleen Greco, Dean of Enrollment, Centenary University. “Our Open House gives students and families the chance to meet the people who will support them, explore their interests, and discover how Centenary can help them turn their goals into opportunities.”

The University offers degrees in a variety of fields housed under the following areas: the Department of Equine Studies and Animal Health; the Department of Theatre Arts; the School of Business, Media, and Writing; the School of Education and Humanities; and the School of Natural, Health, Social, and Behavioral (NHSB) Sciences. Centenary’s academic offerings include programs designed to connect students with emerging fields and evolving career opportunities, including cybersecurity, data analytics, computer science, digital humanities, theatre arts, health sciences, nursing, and a range of specialized equine and animal-health programs.
The University continues to expand and strengthen programs that respond to workforce and community needs. Most recently, Centenary’s RN to BSN program earned accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an important milestone for the University’s growing nursing offerings.
Centenary University has a 12-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio with traditional, online, evening, and accelerated courses that promote flexibility for a variety of lifestyles. The University’s flexible approach also extends beyond the traditional college experience, with undergraduate, graduate, professional certificate, and short-course opportunities designed to meet students at different stages of their educational and professional journeys.

Centenary students have the opportunity to participate in campus athletics, various clubs and co-curricular activities, Greek life, and regularly scheduled campus programming.
“Hands-on learning is a defining part of the Centenary experience,” Greco said. “Students have opportunities to apply classroom knowledge through internships, research, experiential learning, and discipline-specific experiences.” In 2026, seven Centenary students received scholarships supporting undergraduate research and presented their independent research at the Independent Colleges and Universities of New Jersey Undergraduate Research Symposium, highlighting the University’s emphasis on inquiry-based learning and student engagement.
Campus tours help future students picture life as a Cyclone, with opportunities to learn about residence life, student organizations, and athletics. Students and families will also get answers to questions about admissions, financial aid, and the personalized resources available to support student success.
Visitors will discover how Centenary combines personal attention, hands-on learning, and meaningful relationships to help students explore their goals and prepare for their futures. Family members are encouraged to participate and bring their own questions about the college experience.
Attendees are also invited to explore Hackettstown’s restaurants and shops, discover nearby outdoor recreation, and get to know the welcoming northwest New Jersey community surrounding campus.
