HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, March 4, 2025—The Centenary University Summer Academy will host three week long camps for teens in rising grades 9-12. Taught by Centenary University professors, the three non-credit courses—Veterinary Science Academy, Future Educators Academy, and Criminal Psychology Academy: Inside the Mind of a Killer—provide campers with a college residential experience, plus intensive study in an area of interest.

This year’s Centenary University Summer Academy will run from July 28 through Aug. 1. Residential campers arrive on July 27 and depart on Aug. 2. Instruction is held from 9 am to 4 pm, with enrichment activities in the evenings. While the program is structured as a residential experience, it is also open to commuter students.

“Centenary University’s Summer Academy is perfect for students who want to delve deeper into subjects they are passionate about,” said Darlene White, manager of external conferences and events. “We encourage teens to choose the overnight option, so they fully experience college life including living in residence halls, joining friends for meals in the dining hall, and taking part in evening activities.”

This year’s camps spotlight three academic areas of excellence at Centenary—equine studies/animal science, education, and psychology. Centenary has achieved a national reputation for equine studies/animal science, with an impressive track record for graduates gaining acceptance to selective veterinary schools. In addition, the University is recognized as a regional leader for training outstanding professionals in the fields of education and psychology.

Residential camp tuition is $1,450, which includes accommodations in Centenary’s air-conditioned residence halls, lunch, and dinner. Tuition for commuters is $975, which includes lunch and dinner. Students can add breakfast for an additional weekly fee of $99. For more information or to register, click here.
