A resident of Hackettstown, NJ, Stewart will lead institutional human resources strategy, with a focus on building a high performing, people-centered culture at the university.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, April 1, 2026—Centenary University President John R. Schol, D.Min., has announced the appointment of Treacy Stewart of Hackettstown, NJ, as Chief Human Resources Officer. Reporting to the university president, Stewart leads institutional human resources strategy at Centenary, with a focus on building a high performing, people-centered culture aligned with the university’s organizational goals. Her professional experience spans global, regional, and local organizations across industries ranging from consumer packaged goods and hospitality to banking and financial services, human capital management systems, and marketing.

“Treacy Stewart’s strategic expertise and people‑centered leadership approach will be a tremendous asset to Centenary University,” said President Schol. “We are excited to welcome her to campus as she strengthens our culture and advances our strategic mission.”

Prior to joining Centenary, Stewart spent more than a decade with Mondelēz International in progressively senior leadership roles, most recently as director of people capability. In this role, she led global HR service delivery and enterprise learning strategy, implemented a global capability framework aligned to business strategy, increased leadership program participation by 60%, and strengthened internal talent pipelines that accelerated promotions while generating significant cost savings.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong track record in talent management, leadership development, performance management, culture and engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has successfully led large-scale transformation initiatives, including the centralization of global learning operations across 80 countries, driving efficiency, consistency, and enhanced employee experiences worldwide.

Earlier in her career, Stewart held senior leadership roles with Wyndham Hotel Group, where she led global learning and organizational development initiatives, expanded revenue-generating training programs, and designed large-scale leadership experiences for thousands of employees. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Fitchburg State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Thomas Edison State University. She is a certified facilitator in multiple leadership and behavioral frameworks, including MBTI, Emergenetics, and FranklinCovey, and is deeply committed to developing leaders, strengthening organizational capability, and fostering inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures.
