Alumni and Family Weekend is the perfect time to come to campus! Whether you’re a graduate celebrating a special reunion with classmates or a family member visiting a current student, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Friday, Oct 5

  • 50th Reunion Registration • Seay Parlours, check in to pick up your passes for the weekend’s events and activities • 4 pm–6 pm
  • Centenary Society/50th Reception • President’s House, 401 Jefferson Street, enjoy the evening as we recognize our Centenary Society members while welcoming the President’s Advisory Council, Class of 1968, and earlier classes • 6:30–8:30 pm

Saturday, Oct 6

  • President’s Welcome, State of the University & Awards, following a warm welcome by David P. Haney, Centenary University President, please join us as we honor Centenarians receiving special awards for their commitment to the University and the community • Sitnik Theater, Lackland Center • 9:30–10:30 am
  • #theVIBE Tours and Alumni Stories, alumni are invited to us your stories • 2 Floor Seay Building • 9 am–noon
  • Women’s Volleyball vs. Bryn Athyn • Reeves Gymnasium • 10:00 am
  • Women’s Lacrosse Alumni Game, come cheer on your classmates • Turf Field • 10:00 am
  • Jonathan Matthews – Love Never Went to College: Centenary’s Katharine Brush in Context, a lecture on Centenary’s own Katharine Brush, who graduated in 1917 and went on to become a writer of magazine articles and books, two of which became Hollywood movies. Matthews will discuss her life in the context of such contemporaries as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Dorothy Parker • Taylor Memorial Library • 11:00 am
  • Guided Campus Tours, meet students and faculty in the Seay Building Front Parlours for a tour of campus • 11:00 am
  • Cyclone Tailgate, what better way to gear up to cheer on the men’s and women’s soccer teams than a tailgate? No need to bring anything; we’ll provide the beverages, BBQ, and entertainment! With activities for kids and refreshing beverages for the adults, this event is sure to please! Use your Tailgate ticket for one of these two great options: • 11:30 am–1:30 pm • Inside Lackland Center Dining Hall – It’s Italy Day in the Lackland Center Dining Hall. Pizza, pasta, salad and 6′ Italian sandwiches await –– or • Noon–2 pm • Field outside Lackland Center – Hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshing beverages under the tent • Lackland Center Parking Lot & Field

  • Women’s Soccer vs Notre Dame • Athletic Field behind Lackland • 1:00 pm
  • Creating Your Own Personal Brand, presented by Rochelle A. Makela-Goodman ’97 • PC Room, Lackland Center • 1:30–2:30 pm •  Rochelle is an experienced principal gifts officer with a passion for matching a donor’s philanthropic goals with university priorities in ways that advance education, research, and the human condition.

  • Afternoon Tea, alumni can reminisce with classmates and mingle in a familiar space as they get to know current Centenary faculty and staff. Parents, students, and families are also invited to meet with professors while enjoying tea and refreshments. • Seay Parlours • 2:00–3:30 pm

  • Equestrian Center Horse Walker Ribbon Cutting & Reception, 40 Califon Rd., Long Valley, NJ 07853. Join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony as we unveil our new Kraft horse walker. For those needing transportation to the event, please meet the bus at 3:30 pm at the front gate. Return trip will be at 5:30 pm • Equestrian Center • 4–6 pm; Register here

  • Wine & Cheese Reception • Seay Front Porch • 5:30–6:30 pm • Great Class Photo Opportunity! In case of rain, this event will be held in the Front Parlours, Seay Building.
  • Cyclone’s 30th Birthday Dinner, celebrate the Cyclone’s big day during dinner with birthday games, a prize wheel, and of course, cake! , • Lackland Center Dining Hall • 5:30–7:30 pm
  • Reunion Dinners, celebrate exciting milestones with your classmates and other Golden Alumni from earlier classes.

  • Sunday Brunch • Lackland Center Dining Hall • 11:30 am–1:30 pm • Mingle with your classmates while entertainment is provided by President David P. Haney and Presidential Spouse and university ambassador Lisa Baldwin
  • Women’s Softball Alumni Game • Legion Field • Noon
  • Cyclone Olympics • Quad 1 • 1 pm • An all campus competition! Centenary has traditionally had an all-campus competition, though you may have known it as Dad’s Day, Dorm Wars, or Cyclone Cup. Alumni, friends, and family are encouraged to take part in cheering their Cyclones to victory!
