Biography

Dr. Troxell has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Phillipsburg School District in Phillipsburg, New Jersey since July, 2017. After graduating from Penn State University, Dr. Troxell began teaching in the Phillipsburg School District as a science teacher at the Phillipsburg Middle School. After earning his master’s degree in Educational Administration at East Stroudsburg University, Dr. Troxell was promoted to Assistant Principal at the Phillipsburg Middle School. He resided there for five years before moving to Phillipsburg High School as an Assistant Principal for five years. In 2009, he became the Principal at Phillipsburg High School, serving in this position for six years before becoming Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Phillipsburg School District from July, 2015 to June, 2017.
