The Centenary University Institutional Review Board reviews all research being conducted involving human subjects at the university or in collaboration with the university. The Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Centenary University strives:

  • To promote ethical research;
  • To protect research participants’ rights;
  • To facilitate research and research careers;
  • To ensure compliance with federal regulations; and
  • To protect the interests of the institution.

All individuals conducting IRB-reviewed research are required to complete the Basic Researcher and Responsible Conduct of Research CITI Training modules before submitting an application.

Faculty seeking to submit an application can use the materials found on this page to prepare and submit an application to IRB@CentenaryUniversity.edu.

Students should speak with their faculty or research advisor before preparing an application for submission. All applicants should fully review the Centenary University IRB manual before submitting an application.

Please note that exempt applications will be reviewed within 15 business days of receipt and full committee review applications will be reviewed within 30 business days of receipt.
