Centenary University Announces Partnership with Edcor

Program provides economic advantages for employees of participating businesses who enroll at the University for degree or continuing education courses

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, April 16, 2021—Centenary University has entered into a partnership with Edcor, a Michigan-based education program assistance company, that helps connect businesses with educational partners to create pathways to career success. A cornerstone of the relationship will be the creation of educational opportunities, at a discounted rate, for corporate employees who enroll at Centenary.

Edcor maintains exclusive relationships with accredited, high-quality institutions such as Centenary to provide clients with significantly discounted access to an array of degree and non-degree programs. Through the relationship, Centenary will partner with businesses in the Skylands Region to offer degree and certificate programs for area professionals in a range of fields. In the healthcare industry, for instance, the University will partner with large, area healthcare providers such as Atlantic Health System to offer educational opportunities in medical lab science, health science, data analytics, business administration, forensic science, social work, and psychology.

“Through the Edcor partnership, companies like Atlantic Health System can direct their employees to Centenary University, where they can advance their education at a 10 percent discount,” said Denton Stargel, vice president for business and finance, CFO at Centenary. “This provides an attractive benefit to both employers and employees, while advancing Centenary’s vision to be the intellectual, economic, and cultural heart of the Skylands Region.”

“Thanks to this partnership between Centenary University and Edcor, our team members at Hackettstown and Newton medical centers have the opportunity to advance in their field of medical specialty through this valuable resource,” said Paul Owens, M.D., chief medical officer, Hackettstown and Newton medical centers. “We look forward to expanding this opportunity into other medical and nursing specialties in the future.”
